Team Manager – Looked After Children – South Central London Role:  Team Manager Location:  South Central London Team: Child Protection Pay:  Up to £44.50 per hour Contract: Full-Time Locum In the office: Hybrid Are you an experienced Social Work Team Manager looking for your next role? Then look no further! We are searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join a Local Authority in South Central London in their Looked After Children Service. As the Social Work Team Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your career in a role that is both challenging and rewarding. You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of social workers, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with current legislation and best practice. The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience in social work, ideally with a background in managing a team of social workers. A Social Work England registration is also essential. You will be rewarded with competitive rates of pay of up to £44.50ph. The key responsibilities of the role include: •Providing leadership and direction to the team, setting objectives and ensuring that they are achieved. •Developing and monitoring service delivery, ensuring that standards are met and exceeded. •Recruiting, inducting and training new members of the team. •Providing regular supervision and support to the social workers. •Developing and implementing policies and procedures. •Producing reports and attending meetings. •Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with current legislation and best practice. •Coordinating and managing resources effectively. •Monitoring caseloads and responding to any issues or concerns. •Working closely with other professionals and organisations. The successful candidate will have: •A professional qualification in social work and a current Social Work England registration. •A wealth of experience in social work, ideally with a background in managing a team of social workers. •Excellent knowledge of current legislation and best practice. •Strong organisational and time management skills. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •The ability to work independently and as part of a team. •A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
