Are you an experienced and dedicated Adult Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding? Do you have the leadership skills to manage and support a team in a dynamic and challenging environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Adult Safeguarding Team as a Deputy Team Manager/Practice Manager in Central London.

About the Role:

As the Deputy Team Manager/Practice Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and supporting the safeguarding process within our Adult Social Care services. You will lead a team of four Social Workers and an Assistant Practitioner, ensuring that high standards of practice are maintained and that service users receive the best possible care and protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective line management and supervision to a team of Social Workers and an Assistant Practitioner.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and the Care Act.
  • Oversee complex safeguarding cases and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Monitor and manage team performance, ensuring timely and effective responses to safeguarding concerns.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve practice and service delivery.


  • Social Work England registration is essential.
  • Significant experience in adult social work, with a strong focus on safeguarding.
  • Proven line management and supervisory experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Care Act and safeguarding processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
