Sutton | Locum | £36 per hour | Hybrid Working

Sutton Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Adults Services team. You will be responsible for completing Immediate Needs Assessments, care and support plans for adults requiring social services, in line with council policies, eligibility criteria, and statutory guidance.

In this role, you’ll manage a varied caseload, including complex referrals, using a prevention and strengths-based approach. You’ll work closely with individuals, carers, and community services to promote wellbeing, independence, and positive outcomes, ensuring these principles are consistently reflected in all aspects of practice.

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England Registration
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Experience working within statutory adults social care
  • Strong skills in assessment, care and support planning
  • Experience managing complex cases and referrals
  • Knowledge of strengths-based and preventative approaches
  • Ability to promote wellbeing and independence in all interventions
  • Flexibility to attend the office as required by the service
