Camden Borough Council is seeking an experienced and confident Senior Practitioner to join their Adults Communities team. This is a pivotal role within the service, offering the opportunity to take the lead on complex cases, support risk management, and provide mentorship to less experienced practitioners.

Manage a caseload of complex adult social care cases, including safeguarding and mental capacity assessments
Support practitioners in the team with case consultations, joint work, and decision-making
Liaise with health partners, community organisations, and legal services
Contribute to service development and delivery of best practice
Uphold principles of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and other relevant legislation
Participate in reflective supervision and case audits
Social Work England registration
Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualified experience in adult social care
Previous experience in a Senior Practitioner or step-up role is desirable
Strong knowledge of strengths-based and person-centred approaches
Excellent risk assessment, communication, and mentoring skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
£33 per hour
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 remote
