Advanced Practitioner - Family Support and Child Protection

Lambeth | Locum | £41.10 per hour | Hybrid Working

Lambeth Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join their Family Support and Child Protection (FSCP) Team. You will play a key role in supporting complex safeguarding cases, driving high-quality practice, and providing guidance to social workers to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and support complex Child Protection and Child in Need cases
• Provide professional guidance, mentoring, and support to social workers and ASYE staff
• Undertake high-level assessments and risk analysis in complex safeguarding situations
• Contribute to practice development and quality assurance within the FSCP team
• Work closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
• Support reflective practice and contribute to service improvement

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England Registration
• Social Work Qualification
• Significant post-qualifying experience in statutory children’s social work
• Experience of working within Child Protection and FSCP services
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Ability to support and develop other practitioners within the team
