Advanced Social Work Practitioner (ASWP) – Child in Need (CIN) Team

Join our Supporting Families First Team, an innovative, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to working with children and families where a Child in Need (CIN) plan is in place. We are a dynamic and proactive team committed to keeping families together where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a multi-disciplinary pod of professionals, including Money Mentors, Family Support Workers, Youth Mentors, Outreach Support Workers, Substance Misuse Workers, Family Meeting Coordinators, Emotional Health and Wellbeing Workers, and Administrative Officers.
• Lead and support the delivery of CIN plans, ensuring high-quality intervention and care.
• Work creatively and collaboratively with families facing care challenges, with interventions typically lasting 16 weeks, extendable if necessary.
• Ensure positive outcomes for children and families, as highlighted by OFSTED: “The service is very effective and results in concerns reducing, and most children being successfully diverted from care and able to remain living with their families.”
   

Experience & Skills:

• Extensive experience in CIN or related social work.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and guide multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to think creatively and work dynamically in challenging situations.
   

Requirements:

• SWE Registration (Social Work England)
• Proven track record of effective social work practice in CIN environments.
