Child Protection Social Worker – Milton Keynes Safeguarding Team

Pay: £38 per hour
Contract: Locum & Permanent roles available
Location: Milton Keynes

We are looking for skilled and committed Child Protection Social Workers to join the Safeguarding Team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the Council’s priorities around keeping children safe, tackling exploitation, and reducing inequalities.

You will work with children and families facing high levels of risk, carrying out thorough assessments, delivering safeguarding plans, and working closely with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

• Minimum 3 years’ permanent experience in statutory children’s services

• Strong track record in child protection and complex case management

• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and local thresholds

• Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills

• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-agency environments
