Sheldon Phillips is working with Kent County Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker for the Children’s Social Work Team (CSWT) in Canterbury. This role is perfect for a qualified social worker with 3 years post-qualifying experience, looking to support children with complex needs and their families.
About the Role
As a CSWT Social Worker, you will:
Manage a caseload of children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to provide tailored support.
Carry out assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions to promote positive outcomes.
Support children and young people through transition planning and direct work.
Prepare and present reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, and panel meetings.
Maintain accurate case records in line with legislative and local authority requirements.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2-3 years post-qualifying experience.
Social Work England registration.
Experience in statutory children’s services, such as Child Protection, Looked After Children, or Children’s Social Work Team.
Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance (including passenger cover).
Current, in-date DBS at the interview stage.
Working Arrangements
Hybrid working – 2-3 days per week in the office.
£38 per hour pay rate.
