Children's Social Worker - Assessment

Devon Council are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Assessment & Intervention Team.

This is a Full-Time Locum Social Work role based in North Devon.

About The Role:

An experienced social worker to support children and young people in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to build meaningful and positive relationships with children, young people, and families; working closely with them to achieve positive outcomes that are family led, built on strengths, and achieve safety and stability keeping them safe through their childhood and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out Child and Family Assessments
• Section 47 Child Protection enquiries to decide whether a child needs support from the Children and Families teams, requires protection or should be taken into care.
• To produce focused outcomes-based and purposeful care plans for interventions within the context of managing the needs of and risk to children.
• Build meaningful and positive relationships with children, young people, and families.

About You:

To apply for this role, you will need to be an experienced social worker with at least 2 years post qualification experience ideally in Assessment or child protection.

BA(Hons) in Social Work and to be registered with Social Work England (SWE).

What’s On Offer?

• £44.00p/h
• Hybrid Working – 3 Days a week in Office.
• Weekly Accommodation allowance up to £150p/w (50miles+)
