Fostering & Kinship Social Worker – Gloucestershire Council

  • £35 per hour

  • 3 days a week in the office

  • £150 weekly mileage allowance

Gloucestershire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Fostering and Kinship team. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Special Guardianship and Connected Carer assessments

  • Undertake Form F fostering assessments

  • Support connected carers and foster carers throughout the process

  • Work closely with children’s social workers to support permanence planning

  • Attend and contribute to fostering panels and care planning meetings

Candidate Requirements

  • Social Work England registration

  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience in fostering or kinship

  • Strong assessment and report writing skills

  • Confident working independently and as part of a team

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to process a new one)
