Position: Project Social Worker - Child Protection Service

Salary: Up to £42 per hour

Role Overview:

• Manage and reduce the backlog of Child Protection cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify risks and develop comprehensive safeguarding plans
• Work closely with multi-agency partners to coordinate and deliver targeted support to children and families
• Prepare detailed reports, attend court proceedings, and provide expert testimony as required
• Contribute to the overall improvement and turnaround of the Child Protection service
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with legal requirements, policies, and best practices

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Extensive experience in child protection, including complex case management
• Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a high-volume caseload effectively
• A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and families
• Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
