Qualified Social Worker – Locality Team – Surrey

Surrey’s Locality Team is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Adult Social Worker to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with adults in a diverse community, providing high-quality social care services. As a Social Worker within the locality team, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting adults with a variety of needs, promoting their independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessments of needs and risks, providing effective interventions to adults and their families
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet individual requirements
  • Work in partnership with service users, their families, carers, and other professionals to deliver person-centered care
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordinated service delivery
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults by responding to and managing safeguarding concerns
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements and Surrey's policies

Requirements:

  • Social Work England Registration – Essential
  • A recognised qualification in Social Work (e.g., BA Social Work, Diploma in Social Work)
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in adult social care
  • Proven experience working within a locality team or similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks related to adult social care
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload
