Are you an experienced and dedicated Qualified Social Worker with a passion for working within the Court Team? Our client, the London Borough of Lambeth, is looking for a skilled professional to join their Children’s Services Court Team, playing a key role in safeguarding vulnerable children and ensuring their voices are heard during legal proceedings.

Role Overview:

As a Qualified Social Worker in the Court Team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting reports to court, managing complex cases, and working with children and families to achieve positive outcomes. This is an opportunity to contribute to life-changing decisions and work collaboratively with other professionals in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of complex court cases, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Prepare and present high-quality court reports and attend court proceedings as required.
• Undertake assessments of children and families to inform court decisions and care planning.
• Work closely with legal professionals, safeguarding teams, and multi-agency partners to support children and families.
• Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to the court, safeguarding children at risk.

Requirements:

• A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
• Proven experience in children’s services, particularly within a court or legal context.
• Strong report-writing and presentation skills, with experience in court proceedings.
• Ability to manage a demanding workload while maintaining high standards of practice.
