Role: Qualified Social Worker

Team: Children’s Assessment
Pay: Up to £38 per hour

Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? Wokingham Borough Council is looking for a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their Children’s Assessment Team.

This role is perfect for a social worker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values both professional development and a supportive working culture. The hybrid working model offers flexibility to work from home, in the community, and the office—making it easier to balance life and work. Locums also benefit from regular access to training opportunities and professional development.

You’ll also receive day 25 case supervision on every case, with separate sessions for personal supervision to ensure you always feel supported.

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England Registration

• Social Work Qualification

• At least 3 years’ experience in Children’s Services

• Experience in Court Proceedings, Assessments, and Safeguarding

• Strong relationship-building and advocacy skills

• Flexibility to travel locally and occasionally further afield
