We are working with a leading local authority, our client in Wiltshire is looking for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their flourishing Child Protection team in Childrens Services.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join our team on a 3-month ongoing contract in the beautiful West of England. This rewarding role offers competitive pay of up to £40/hr, along with plenty of opportunities for remote work from the comfort of your own home.

As a Child Protection Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable children and ensuring they are provided with the support and protection they need. You will work closely with families, partner agencies, and other stakeholders to assess risks, develop safety plans, and coordinate interventions to promote positive outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify risks and needs.
• Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant professionals.
• Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations.
• Liaising with partner agencies, including schools, health services, and law enforcement, to coordinate multi-agency support.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with statutory requirements.
• Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings as required.

As well as an ASYE, you also need:

• A recognized social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
• Proven experience working within child protection services, preferably within a local authority setting.
• Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
