Senior Practitioner – Assessment & Intervention

Enfield | Locum | £39.04 per hour | Hybrid Working

Enfield Council is looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Assessment and Intervention Service. You’ll be part of a committed and supportive team rated Good by Ofsted, contributing to high-quality practice and helping the service progress toward Outstanding.

In this role, you will support the Team Manager in overseeing a team of four Social Workers (including ASYE and Apprentices), provide mentoring to less experienced staff, and lead on complex and high-risk cases. You’ll complete analytical assessments, manage risk confidently, and produce clear, timely reports within statutory timescales.

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England Registration
• Social Work Qualification
• Significant post-qualified experience in statutory children’s services
• Experience managing high-risk and complex cases
• Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
• Experience mentoring or supporting ASYE/social workers/students
• Flexibility to travel locally when required
