Senior Practitioner – MASH

Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: Up to £47,754 per annum (as well as, £3,500 welcome and loyalty bonus + up to £8,000 relocation package)

Oxfordshire County Council is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a permanent basis. This is a vital front-line safeguarding role where your professional judgement and leadership will make a real difference to the lives of children and families.

As a Senior Practitioner in MASH, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing referrals and making informed decisions to ensure children receive a timely and proportionate response. Working alongside a team of fellow Senior Practitioners, and with strong support from experienced managers, you will ensure that referrals are triaged efficiently, with clear, evidence-based decisions made at pace.

About you:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience in children’s safeguarding

  • Strong assessment, decision-making and triage skills

  • Experience working in a duty or fast-paced team (previous MASH experience desirable)

  • Excellent communication and multi-agency working abilities

  • A reflective practitioner with sound knowledge of child protection thresholds and legislation
