Social Worker – Contact and Assessment Team - Hackney
 

Are you an experienced and committed Social Worker seeking a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment? Hackney’s Contact and Assessment Team is looking for skilled professionals to join their dedicated team, working to safeguard children and support families.
 

Role: Social Worker
Location: London Borough of Hackney
Rate: £38.50 per hour (agency position)

Requirements:

• Social Work England (SWE) registration.
• Proven experience in contact and assessment work, with a strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
• Confidence in managing complex cases, undertaking assessments, and providing clear analysis to inform decision-making.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018.
   

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality initial and comprehensive assessments to identify risks and support needs.
• Respond promptly to child protection referrals and ensure timely interventions.
• Work collaboratively with families, multi-agency professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver robust plans for children.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely case records in line with statutory guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
