The London Borough of Harrow is looking for an experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Need team on a 3-month ongoing locum basis. This is a frontline role focused on delivering high-quality, child-centred interventions to support families and safeguard children at risk.

Role Highlights:

• £38.50 per hour (umbrella)

• 3-month ongoing contract, with potential for extension

• Opportunity for both Social Workers and Senior Social Workers depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out Child in Need assessments and plans

• Lead and manage safeguarding interventions where appropriate

• Work with children and families to promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes

• Maintain accurate records, contribute to care planning, and attend multi-agency meetings

• Where applicable, support less experienced colleagues and contribute to service development

Requirements:

• Registration with Social Work England

• Significant post-qualified experience in frontline children’s services

• Experience in Child in Need, Child Protection, and/or safeguarding work

• Strong assessment, risk analysis, and care planning skills
