Social Worker – Intervention (Safeguarding) – Ealing Council

  • £39.04 per hour
  • Hybrid working – 2 to 3 days a week in the office

Ealing Council is seeking an experienced social worker to join their intervention (safeguarding) team. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and families within the safeguarding service
  • Undertake assessments, child protection enquiries, and direct work with families
  • Develop and implement robust intervention and care plans
  • Prepare high-quality reports for case conferences, court, and statutory reviews
  • Work collaboratively with schools, health, police, and partner agencies
  • Ensure children are safeguarded and their welfare promoted at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Strong post-qualified experience in children’s safeguarding or intervention work
  • In-depth knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and related safeguarding legislation
  • Ability to work effectively with families in crisis and manage complex cases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
