Are you an experienced Social Worker with a passion for fostering and special guardianship? We are looking for a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Fostering Special Guardianship Team in Central London. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring that children in foster care and special guardianship arrangements receive the support and stability they need to thrive.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Social Worker on our Fostering Special Guardianship Team, you will:

• Manage a complex caseload involving assessments, support, and supervision of foster carers and special guardians.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments for prospective foster carers and special guardians, ensuring they meet all statutory requirements.
• Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training to foster carers and special guardians to help them provide the best possible care for children.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
• Prepare detailed reports for court proceedings and attend court as required.
• Lead and participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs.
• Stay updated with current legislation, policies, and best practices in fostering and special guardianship.
