Social Worker – Children in Care Team – Hampshire County Council – Fareham and Gosport

Location: Hampshire County Council
Pay/Salary: up to £42 per hour
Office Working: 2 Days per week
Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Hampshire County Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Children in care team in Childrens Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Hampshire are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service.

Duties

•    Manage a caseload of Children in Care, supporting their well-being, stability and progress against Care Plans
•    Completing statutory visits within required timescales
•    Long term engagement with families, including direct work with children and young people, ensuring the child’s voice is captured
•    Preparing high-quality reports for LAC reviews
•    Undertaking proceedings and court work
•    Leading multi-agency working with education, health, and partner agencies – such as foster carers, and residential providers
•    Supporting the transitions of children leaving care, including pathway planning
•    Undertake all Child Protection work from the initial conference onwards

What you need

•    Social Work Qualification
•    Social Work England registration
•    Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
