Rate: £40.80 per hour
Working Pattern: Hybrid – minimum 3 days in the office

Slough Children First is on an ambitious journey to transform children’s services — and we’re looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Practice Development Team.

About the Role

As a Practice Development Senior Social Worker, you will work across the service to challenge, support, and inspire practitioners and managers, helping drive consistent, high-quality, evidence-informed practice. You will contribute to the design and delivery of learning and development initiatives, reflective supervision models, and strengths-based approaches.

This is a key role in supporting our vision for excellence in social work practice, fostering a learning culture, and ensuring our children and families receive the best possible support.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration

• Significant experience in frontline children’s social care and supervision

• Strong knowledge of evidence-informed practice, reflective supervision, and strengths-based approaches

• Confident facilitator and coach, with the ability to lead, influence, and motivate others

• A collaborative and open mindset, committed to continuous learning and improvement
