Social Worker

Dorset Council are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Preparation for Adulthood Team. This is a Full-Time Locum Social Work role based in Central Dorset.

About The Team:

In this team focusing on children and adults with an emphasis on preparation for adulthood. This role supports young people aged 14-25 as they transition into adulthood, ensuring their care needs are thoroughly assessed and met according to the Care Act.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive Care Act assessments for young people aged 14-25
• Utilise a strengths-based approach to support and empower individuals
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Provide support and guidance to young people and their families
• Recent experience in conducting Care Act assessments
• Experience with either children or adults, particularly in transition and preparation for adulthood

About You:

To apply for this role you will need least 3 years post qual experience working with children or young adults. BA(Hons) in Social Work and to be registered with Social Work England (SWE).

What’s On Offer?

• £42.00p/h
• Hybrid Working – 1-2 Days a week in Office.
