Social Worker – Assessment and Intervention
Merton | Locum | £39.04 per hour | Hybrid (3 Days Office-Based)

Merton Council is seeking experienced Social Workers to join their Assessment and Intervention teams, providing high-quality services to vulnerable children, young people, and their families. This role is ideal for professionals committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children while delivering impactful social work interventions.

Role Overview:

  • Manage a caseload of children and families, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Ensure resources are deployed effectively to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Deliver high-quality social work in line with the policies and objectives of the Children, Schools & Families department

What You’ll Need:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience in children’s social work
  • Experience in Child in Need, Child Protection, or Looked After Children work
  • Ability to work with complex cases while maintaining professional and compassionate practice
  • Strong organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills

Working Arrangements & Benefits:
