Islington Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Child in Need / Child Protection Team.

In this role, you’ll manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring that children and families receive high-quality support and timely interventions. You’ll complete thorough assessments, develop effective care plans, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is confident in court work, risk management, and relationship-based practice, and who is looking to make a real difference in a supportive, well-structured environment.

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England Registration
• Social Work Qualification
• Significant post-qualified experience in Child Protection and Child in Need work
• Strong assessment, planning, and report-writing skills
• Ability to manage complex cases and make sound professional judgments
