Role: Social Worker | Location: Enfield | Team: Child in Need
Pay: £37.52 per hour | Contract: Locum

Enfield Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join their Child in Need team.

This is an experienced practitioner role requiring a minimum of three years’ direct experience within local authority children’s social care. You’ll manage your own caseload independently, applying professional judgement and adapting your approach to address complex or unusual cases while effectively assessing and managing risk.

You’ll be responsible for supporting children and families through assessments, planning, and interventions that promote safety, stability, and long-term positive outcomes.

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England registration
• Social Work qualification
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience in statutory children’s services
• Strong risk assessment and case management skills
• Ability to manage complex or unusual cases with independence and confidence
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
