Social Worker - Children in Care Team

Rate: £38.00 per hour
Location: Kingshill, Kent

We are currently seeking an experienced Children in Care Social Worker to join Kent County Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social worker to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring their welfare and needs are effectively met.
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans in line with statutory requirements.
• Work closely with children, families, foster carers, and external agencies to ensure high-quality care and support.
• Attend and contribute to reviews, meetings, and court proceedings as required.
• Ensure that all documentation is up to date and accurate, in compliance with local policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Significant experience as a social worker, particularly in children in care.
• Sound knowledge of child protection procedures and relevant legislation.
• Experience working collaboratively with children, families, and multiagency teams.
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize workloads.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Essential Qualifications:

• Social Work Degree (or equivalent).
• Social Work England registration.
• DBS Check (Enhanced).
