Children with Disabilities Social Worker – Kent

Rate: Up to £38 per hour
Location: Kent
Contract: Locum

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Children with Disabilities Social Worker to join our client's team in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to make a significant impact in the lives of children with complex needs and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
• Carry out assessments and reviews in line with statutory requirements, including safeguarding protocols.
• Work closely with multi-agency professionals, families, and carers to develop and implement care plans.
• Advocate for children’s needs and ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and the Care Act 2014.

Requirements:

• Must be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
• ASYE in childrens services
• Previous experience working with children with disabilities and complex needs.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding processes and working within statutory frameworks.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and multi-agency professionals.
• Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle, as the role involves travel within the region.
