Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Team

Kent County Council is recruiting an experienced and committed Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities (CwD) Team based in Sittingbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established service dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities, ensuring their needs are fully assessed and met
Undertake detailed assessments and create outcome-focused plans
Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, and other partner agencies
Support children and families through transitions and long-term planning
Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met in line with statutory requirements
Maintain clear, analytical, and timely case records and reports

Candidate Requirements

Social Work England registration
Experience working with Children with Disabilities, Safeguarding, or similar children’s services
Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment
A child-centred, strengths-based approach to practice
