Social Worker - Children with Disabilities

Enfield | Locum | £37.52 per hour | Hybrid Working

Enfield Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is a rewarding frontline role supporting children and young people with complex needs, ensuring robust assessments, effective care planning, and positive long-term outcomes.

You will work with children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children processes where appropriate, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met while delivering relationship-based practice.

In this role, you will:

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex needs
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory visits
• Develop and review CIN, CP, and where applicable, LAC plans
• Work closely with families, carers, schools, and health professionals
• Complete high-quality reports within statutory timescales
• Contribute to safeguarding processes and multi-agency meetings
• Promote positive outcomes through child-centred planning

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England Registration
• Social Work Qualification
• Experience within Children with Disabilities services
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and statutory frameworks
• Confidence managing complex and high-risk cases
• Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
