Social Worker – Children with Disabilities

Achieving for Children (Kingston & Richmond) | Locum | £39.04 per hour | Hybrid Working

Achieving for Children is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team covering Kingston and Richmond. This is a specialist frontline role supporting children and young people with complex needs and disabilities to ensure they are safeguarded and supported to achieve positive outcomes.

You will work within a multi-agency framework, delivering high-quality assessments, care planning, and statutory interventions in line with legislation and best practice.

In this role, you will:

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and complex needs
• Undertake Child and Family Assessments and statutory visits
• Develop and review Child in Need, Child Protection, and where applicable, Looked After Children plans
• Work closely with families, carers, schools, health professionals, and other partner agencies
• Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan processes where required
• Complete high-quality reports and maintain accurate case recordings
• Promote positive outcomes through child-centred and strengths-based planning

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England Registration
• Social Work Qualification
• At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s social care
• Experience within a Children with Disabilities service
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and statutory frameworks
• Confidence managing complex and multi-agency cases
• Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
