Position: Court Social Worker
Hourly Rate: £37.00 per hour

 

Sutton Borough Council is looking for an experienced Court Social Worker to join their Court Team. This role will involve managing court proceedings and undertaking the processes for children looked after, ensuring that children’s needs and welfare are at the forefront of every decision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage court proceedings, ensuring that all necessary assessments, reports, and documentation are submitted in a timely and accurate manner
• Undertake children looked after processes, including care planning and ensuring children’s outcomes are reviewed and updated in accordance with statutory guidance
• Work collaboratively with legal teams, the judiciary, and other professionals involved in the court process
• Provide clear, evidence-based reports for court hearings and contribute to the development of care plans for children
• Maintain compliance with court orders and support children in the system to achieve their best possible outcomes

Essential Experience:

• Experience of managing court proceedings and undertaking children looked after processes
• Strong knowledge of court procedures and legislation related to child protection and care proceedings
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
