Ealing Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our fast-paced and supportive Court Team on a locum basis. About the Role:

As a member of the Court Team, you'll be responsible for progressing cases through care proceedings, ensuring timely, high-quality assessments and robust care planning for children and families. You’ll work closely with legal teams, guardians, and other professionals to deliver best outcomes for children subject to court processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children in care proceedings
• Complete high-quality assessments and court reports (e.g. initial statements, viability assessments, parenting assessments)
• Attend court hearings and work collaboratively with legal representatives and external professionals
• Ensure statutory responsibilities are met in line with relevant legislation and best practice
• Champion the voice of the child in all aspects of your work

About You:

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
• Strong experience in court work and care proceedings
• Skilled in writing court reports and giving evidence when required
• Excellent time management, analytical and communication skills
