About the Role

As part of the Assessment Team, you’ll be at the forefront of children’s services, carrying out timely interventions and ensuring children are protected and supported effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete Child and Family Assessments within statutory timescales
• Undertake Section 47 enquiries and risk assessments
• Manage a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
• Produce clear, analytical reports to inform decision-making
• Engage directly with children and families to assess needs and risks

About You

You’ll be a confident practitioner with strong frontline experience and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Experience within an Assessment or Duty team
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and frameworks
• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Excellent assessment and report-writing skills
• Confident working in a fast-paced environment
