Social Worker – Family Safeguarding

Location: Islington
Rate: £39.04 per hour
Contract: Locum, Full-Time (36 hours per week)
Start Date: ASAP

Islington are hiring into their Family Safeguarding team and are after a confident, experienced Social Worker to join the ranks. This is a borough that actually sticks to its model — no buzzwords, just good multi-agency practice and manageable workloads.

The team is well established and known for being supportive, with managers who know what they’re doing. If you want to do safeguarding work in a borough that hasn’t lost the plot, this could be a strong move.

The role will include:

• Carrying a caseload across CIN, CP and some court work
• Using the Family Safeguarding model to deliver strength-based interventions
• Direct work with families in partnership with domestic abuse, MH and substance misuse workers
• Attending CP conferences, LPMs, strategy meetings and court
• Keeping timely, quality case recordings and evidence-based assessments

What they’re after:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Experience working within safeguarding services
• Knowledge or experience of the Family Safeguarding model
• Ability to manage risk, write clear plans, and hold your own in meetings

What’s on offer:

• £39.04 per hour
• 3 days in the office, 2 from home
• Supportive management and reflective supervision
• Immediate start on a long-term contract
