Social Worker – Localities Team | Gloucestershire County Council

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, and court work cases
  • Undertake statutory assessments and Section 47 enquiries
  • Develop robust care and protection plans to safeguard children
  • Prepare clear and analytical reports for conferences and court proceedings
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory guidance

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Experience within frontline Children’s Services (Safeguarding / CIN / CP)
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory frameworks
  • Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a busy but well-supported team
