Kent County Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team on a locum basis. Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans
Undertake Section 47 investigations and safeguarding enquiries
Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning within timescales
Prepare high-quality reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings
Work closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory guidance

Candidate Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Experience within Safeguarding / Child Protection services
Strong understanding of UK child protection legislation and statutory frameworks
Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills
Ability to manage complex caseloads in a fast-paced environment
