Kent County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team based in the Dover office. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection and Child in Need plans
- Undertake Section 47 investigations and safeguarding enquiries
- Complete statutory assessments and visits within required timescales
- Prepare comprehensive reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings
- Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case recording in line with statutory guidance
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience within Safeguarding / Child Protection services
- Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory frameworks
- Confident in risk assessment and court-related work
- Ability to manage complex caseloads effectively
