Pay up to £35 per hour | Tameside

Role Overview:
Tameside MBC is seeking a skilled Children’s Social Worker to join their Kinship Assessment Team. This is an assessing role where you’ll focus on kinship care, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based assessments that support safe and stable outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake Regulation 24 viability assessments.
• Complete Form K assessments.
• Carry out Special Guardianship Order (SGO) assessments.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, carers, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Provide clear, structured, and evidence-based reports to support permanency planning.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Proven experience in completing kinship/SGO assessments.
• Strong assessment, analysis, and report writing skills.
• Knowledge of child care legislation and statutory guidance.

Contract Details:

• Locum Children’s Social Worker role
• Pay up to £35 per hour
• Based in Tameside
