Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting locum opportunity for a Looked After Children Social Worker in the London Borough of Greenwich. This authority has recently achieved an Excellent rating in their Ofsted inspection and is known for maintaining stable and well-supported children's services.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Work with children who are in care, ensuring their safety, stability, and well-being.
• Develop and implement care plans to meet the needs of Looked After Children, ensuring their voices are heard.
• Conduct regular visits to children in placements, assessing the quality of care and placement suitability.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including health, education, and therapeutic services, to provide comprehensive support.
• Prepare court reports and attend court hearings, where necessary, to advocate for the child’s best interests.
• Support young people transitioning from care to independence, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in line with statutory requirements.

Requirements:

• Social Work England registration
• 2+ years post-qualified experience in children’s services, ideally within a Looked After Children team
