We are currently recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Looked After Children’s (LAC) Service at London Borough of Sutton, offering a competitive rate of £39.04 per hour. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Looked After Children, ensuring high-quality care planning and permanence planning
• Undertake statutory visits, direct work, and life-story work with children and young people
• Complete Pathway Plans, Care Plans, and Permanency Plans
• Prepare high-quality reports for LAC reviews, court proceedings, and permanency panels
• Work collaboratively with carers, families, IROs, education, health, and partner agencies
• Support placement stability, emotional wellbeing, and positive long-term outcomes

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker (Degree or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience within statutory children’s services
• Strong experience within Looked After Children / Children in Care teams
• Sound knowledge of care planning regulations, permanence planning, and court processes
• Excellent communication, assessment, and relationship-building skills
