Social Worker – Looked After Children / Leaving Care
Location: Sutton
Rate: £39.00 per hour
Contract: Locum, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Office: 3 days per week

Sutton are looking for a switched-on, experienced Social Worker to join their Looked After Children and Leaving Care team. If you know your way around a Pathway Plan and have worked closely with young people in care, this one’s right up your street. The team is stable, well-run and offers a realistic caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of looked after children and care leavers
• Develop and review Pathway Plans
• Ensure compliance with statutory duties under the Children Act
• Attend LAC reviews, PEPs and placement meetings
• Support transitions into independence for care leavers
• Work closely with virtual schools, housing, and health services
• Maintain clear and timely case recordings

What They’re Looking For

• Social Work England registration
• Solid post-qualified experience in LAC/Leaving Care
• Confident working with adolescents and young adults
• Ability to balance statutory requirements with real-world support
• Comfortable being office-based 3 days per week
