Child Protection Social Worker – Reading

Pay: £38 – £42 per hour
Contract: Locum & Permanent roles available
Location: Greater Reading Area

We’re seeking experienced Child Protection Social Workers to join teams across Reading. You’ll be working with children and families at risk of exploitation, carrying out assessments, and delivering effective safeguarding plans.

This role supports Reading Borough Council’s priorities to safeguard children, reduce serious violence, and tackle inequality. As the Council brings Children’s Services back in-house, you’ll be part of a service undergoing positive change.

Key Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration

• Strong experience in child protection & complex exploitation cases

• Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills

• 3 Years post qualified experience.
