Position: Qualified Social Worker
Team: Learning Disability and Autism
Contract: Locum (3 months +)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £34 per hour
Location: LE67 3EA (Hybrid Working Available)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Sheldon Phillips are working with Leicestershire County Council to recruit a skilled Adult Social Worker to join their Learning Disability and Autism Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with adults who have complex needs, in a role that combines meaningful face-to-face work with flexible hybrid arrangements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of adults with learning disabilities and/or autism

• Undertake Care Act assessments and reviews

• Carry out safeguarding enquiries in line with S42

• Work collaboratively with service users, families, and other professionals

• Promote independence and ensure person-centred support planning

• Maintain accurate records in line with statutory requirements

 

Requirements:

• Social Work England (SWE) registration

• Qualified Social Worker

• Experience in Learning Disability services and adult safeguarding

• Sound knowledge of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act

• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
