Contract: Locum – 37 hours per week (Hybrid working with some office-based requirements)
Pay Rate: Up to £37 per hour
Location: Bradford Children and Families Trust

Sheldon Phillips are working with Bradford Children and Families Trust to recruit an Advanced Practitioner to join their Localities service. This is a key role within the team, providing expert practice oversight, supporting colleagues, and delivering high-quality social work interventions to children and families. The Trust operates a hybrid working model, but there will be times when you will be required in the office for specific tasks or team days in line with service needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced social work practice, guidance, and support to colleagues within the team.

  • Carry a reduced but complex caseload, including Child in Need, Child Protection and Court work.

  • Ensure robust assessments and outcome-focused plans are in place for children and families.

  • Support decision-making at key stages of safeguarding interventions.

  • Contribute to service improvement and the development of good practice standards.

  • Undertake reflective supervision and promote high-quality recording and case management.

  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children.


Requirements:

  • SWE Registration.

  • Social Work qualification.

  • Significant post-qualified experience, ideally at Senior Social Worker or Advanced Practitioner level.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory frameworks.

  • Experience supporting or mentoring less experienced colleagues.

  • Ability to balance direct casework with practice leadership responsibilities.
