Advanced Practitioner – Children and Families Team
Pay Rate: £42 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role
Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join its Children and Families Team.
You will work with children and families across a varied caseload, providing high-quality assessments, safeguarding interventions, and long-term planning to improve outcomes for children.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will also support colleagues with complex cases, contribute to practice development, and help maintain high standards across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a complex caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases.
- Complete Child and Family Assessments and safeguarding investigations.
- Undertake Public Law Outline (PLO) work and court proceedings where required.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced social workers.
- Undertake direct work with children and families.
- Work collaboratively with health, education, police, and partner agencies.
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
