Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £42 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: Swindon Borough Council
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office per week

Sheldon Phillips are working with Swindon Borough Council who are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join their busy Safeguarding Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced social worker to take on a leadership role, offering support, guidance, and oversight to colleagues managing complex safeguarding cases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead on complex safeguarding cases and provide expert guidance to team members
• Chair core group and strategy meetings as required
• Undertake high-quality assessments, care planning, and risk analysis
• Provide case direction, support, and quality assurance to Social Workers
• Promote best practice and ensure compliance with statutory duties
• Work collaboratively with partners to ensure positive outcomes for children and families

Requirements:

• SWE Registration
• Social Work qualification
• Significant post-qualified experience within statutory safeguarding teams
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and provide case oversight
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, policy, and practice
• Confident in providing supervision and mentoring support
