Senior Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Team – Rochdale

Location: Rochdale Council
Pay/Salary: up to £40 per hour
Office Working: 2-3 Days per week
Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Rochdale Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Children with Disabilities team in Childrens Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Rochdale are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a manageable caseload and support their service - including less experienced practitioners.

Duties

• Completing statutory assessments in line with the Childrens Act 1989 and the Care Act 2014 - identifying a child's needed, strengths, and risks, developing person-centred care
• Working closely with multi-agency partners, including OT’s, CAMHS, paediatric and SEND partners)
• Undertake Section 7 and Section 37 reports and attend Court
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the Child
• Write conference reports and attend conferences
• Undertake all Child Protection work from the initial conference onwards

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
