About the Role

Sheldon Phillips are working with Oldham Council to recruit a Senior Social Worker for their busy and well-established MASH Team. This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner with strong assessment skills and safeguarding knowledge who can manage complex cases and provide guidance to colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Screen and assess incoming referrals to identify risk and determine appropriate intervention
Provide guidance and support to social workers and partner agencies within MASH
Undertake timely decision-making to ensure the safety and welfare of children
Liaise effectively with police, health, and education professionals to share information and plan next steps
Maintain clear and accurate records in line with statutory guidelines

Requirements

SWE Registration
Qualified Social Worker with post-qualified experience in MASH or Frontline Safeguarding
Experience of managing complex safeguarding cases and making threshold decisions
Strong partnership working and decision-making skills
